spring break a-comin

got myself a haircut before i embark on road trip to virginia and north carolina with 2 friends tomorrow morning for spring break. we're going to miss dragon day tomorrow....it's not on thursday as usual this year, but friday. the week will be kicked off by a pirg interview all day on saturday, so i probably won't be writing all week. but i'm hoping i can get in some online time- bringin the laptop with me.

it's sad how much i aspire to be one of these laptop junkies on these newfangled tv shows. i think i aready am one- now i just need the rest of the lifestyle.
i think it's the lighting that does it- you need the sexy half-lighting.

in other news, it really sucks that the senate voted to drill in the anwr today. did a huge project on that freshman year, but i don't really remember the conclusions, or rather, i know that i concluded that they shouldn't drill, but i don't remember the concrete reasons, or i would have sent them to congress....riiiiight.

and yesterday wolfowitz (soooo exciting- cornell's his almamater!! silent cheer right here!) was nominated to be head of the world bank. how much worse could you get- a jew as head of the world bank??!! fuck, we're screwed. better get those yellow stars ready.

the other way i can look at it is that the world bank is evil anyway, and so if we stick him there, at least we get him out of the way so he can't harm anything else. i mean, i don't think suddenly the world bank would have actually cancelled all the debt and done good shit if bono was picked to head it. come on, i'm sure he would have just been fucking co-opted (even though his music has been kinda already).

anyway, i should probably get somewhere in the job hunt before leaving tomorrow am.

happy st patty's day from your local frat boys (i went outside a few hours ago, to meet up with a friend for a brief mtg at stella's (which HAS, might i add, the sexy half-lighting! must spend more time there) and these drunk fratguys in an suv, who almost ran me over, yelled out the window "FUCKIN HIPPY!"
