wyclef sings "mi pi eil?"

ok, so i just discovered that on the song "closing arguments" by wyclef jean, from his album Carnival, there's weird flute sample of the shabbat z'mirot song "mi pi eil," also called "ein adir" i think....has anyone heard this? i wonder why it's there?
